terms & conditions
The products described on this website are packages and services available to tour operators. Any group package confirmation will be regulated by a contract between Italia Highlights Srl and the tour operator client. The contract will details the facilities and services provided as described in the programs at the specified rates as per price list. All rates indicated in the price list are net and unless stated otherwise and are inclusive of VAT, national, local taxes, service and other charges (unless stated otherwise) and are described in euro and calculated for a minimum number of paying participants and need to be reconfirmed at the time of booking according to exact periods of travel. Rates will be updated in case of any change in local, regional or national taxation. They are not valid during conventions, important events and festivals unless stated otherwise.
The contract will specify confirmation and cancellation conditions as well as deposit and payments conditions.
All elements of tour packages are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Deposits
and Final Balance
A deposit corresponding to 30% of the booked package/services will be normally required at the moment of the final confirmation of a group reservation. The balance is normally required within 30 days from the arrival of the group (unless stated otherwise) upon invoice reception. Invoices will be sent by Italia Highlights Srl via email or fax.
Cancellation
Conditions
In the event of a cancellation of an entire group package reservation, cancellation charges will not be levied until 60 days prior to the arrival date unless stated otherwise in the final contract. For cancellations before 60 (sixty) days prior to the date of arrival of a group, a reservation can normally be totally or partially cancelled without incurring any penalty.
If an entire group is cancelled within 60 days from the date of arrival, the following cancellation conditions will apply:
60 – 40 days – a penalty corresponding to 30% of the total revenue will be charged by Italia Highlights Srl
39 – 16 days – a penalty corresponding to 50% of the total revenue will be charged by Italia Highlights Srl
15 – 8 days – a penalty corresponding to 75% of the total revenue will be charged by Italia Highlights Srl
7 – 0 days – a penalty corresponding to 100% of the total revenue will be charged by Italia Highlights Srl
Any request of total cancellation within 60 days will be dealt with each supplier in order to take all actions to reduce any cost/penalty arising from the received confirmation whenever possible and accepted by Italia Highlights’ suppliers.
Attrition
Conditions
For partial cancellations within 60 days from the arrival, hotel penalties (unless stated otherwise in the contract) will be as follows:
60 – 35 days – a maximum of 5 rooms can be cancelled without incurring any penalty
34 – 16 days – a maximum of 3 rooms can be cancelled without incurring any penalty
15 – 3 days – a maximum of 3 rooms can be cancelled without incurring any penalty
3-0 days – For any cancelled room a penalty corresponding to 100% of the stay will be calculated and charged. The minimum of 20 paying participants must in any case be guaranteed and accordingly for any extra cancellation a penalty corresponding to the total overnights and services will be applied.

Force Majeure
Italia Highlights shall be excused performance of its obligations where circumstances amounting to “force majeure” occur for as long as such circumstances last and affect contractual performance.
“Force majeure” shall mean unusual and unforeseeable events beyond the control of the party seeking to rely on them. Such events may include (by way of example and not by way of limitation) war, threat of war, civil strife, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, epidemics, bad weather, terrorist activity, governmental action, industrial action, acts of God and all other similar events.
Insurance
Highlights Italia has a civil liability insurance, contracted with Europ Assistance under No. 8592453 for a total amount of € 1,550,000.00.
Responsibility
Italia Highlights Srl and/or its agents and offices and/or suppliers of services pursuant and/or in connection with the tours described in this brochure and to other tours they promote and sell, acts only as agents for their clients in making arrangements with airlines, hotels, ground operators, car rental companies and other independent parties. Italia Highlights Srl has taken all the necessary steps to ensure that the services described in this brochure have been properly arranged and that their suppliers are reputable and efficient. However, Italia Highlights does not have control over them, and thus cannot be held responsible for their acts or omissions. The services provided are subject to the conditions imposed by these suppliers and their ability may be limited by their tariffs, condition of carriage, tickets, vouchers and international conditions and agreements. Italia Highlights is not responsible for any loss, damage, illness, injury, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, anxiety, or fear from:
(A) The act, omission or negligence of any travel service supplier whose product their clients purchase.
(B Theft, strike, lockout, mechanical failure, governmental restrictions, weather conditions or any other cause beyond our control.
(C) The client’s failure to obtain and carry all the required documents, including required travel visa, passport, tourist card, proof of immunization or valid driver’s license.
(D) The client’s failure to adhere to schedules for missed flight connection.
(E) Personal injury or death.
(F) Unauthorized statements or acts or misinterpretations made by any travel agency or its employees relating to the standards, quality, services, and inclusions of the vacation programs described in this brochure and detailed in the final contract.
Airfare
International/national airfare is not included in the package prices.
